Vashyakarma Rituals and Ethics

Vashyakarma Rituals, such as vashikaran workings and Kurukulla Torma offerings, are something that have come up many times before in the shop. And from time to time, I have offered them for a brief time before quickly removing them. But why? And what are they?

In simplest terms, vashyakarma rites, or Red Magick, are rituals done to control and influence others. Most often used with lover return rituals, they can also be used to seduce specific people or even draw clients to a business. And in a certain sense, these rituals are perfectly safe. However, they are generally drawn upon for less than wholesome reasons, and this is why I don't offer them. Simply put, these rituals do not draw love. They draw a body. And I've had this rationalized to me a thousand different ways ("oh he'll remember he loves me when we're back together", "once she's with me she'll fall in love with me naturally", etc), but none of them make sense or change the fact that such rituals are a great violation of free will.

Now, I am no stranger to Baneful Magick. In fact, this shop is built on conditioning products for causing harm and influencing others. However, the work of affecting the mind of another is not something I take joy in. It isn't a technique I've used for myself, as I don't want a zombie for a partner, and it isn't something I recommend to others. Besides, you run the risk of your ritual failing sooner rather than later, and your victim rebelling against their compulsions. And since such rituals rarely work the same way twice, you've now lost even more ground than you gained. On top of this, there is the karmic aspect to consider, which is that you are demonstrating to the universe that you don't respect free will and so must be taught the meaning of free will yourself.

Bottom line, there isn't ever a good reason to use vashyakarma as a targeted ritual to draw a specific target. You could use it to make yourself more appealing to others, to draw customers, to entice willing participants, etc without facing any real negative impact, but when you start directly violating the free will of another in such a focused manner, you put yourself in danger of many things. When it comes to love Magick of that start, let go of the idea of getting the person you want, and focus instead on attracting the best person for you.
