Are you Cursed? Find out!

Many of the emails I receive are something along the lines of, "help! I think I've been cursed!" While the curse funnel details why most people aren't, not everyone is satisfied with knowing that. A lot of people want to know for sure whether or not they are cursed. So, let's look at some simple tests you can do to find out if you've been cursed, and how to get rid of it.

The Egg Test

You will need one fresh egg and a glass of water to do this.

Begin with a prayer, mantra, or a setting of intention, depending on your practices, that your higher power help you to remove any negativity that has attached itself to you, and to cleanse your body from it. Then, beginning at the top of your head, hold the egg and move your hand in small, circular motions. Work your way down your entire body, circling the egg the whole time and changing hands to get both arms. While doing so, keep your mind clear and focused on being cleansed.

When you've done your whole body, crack the egg into the glass of water. There are many ways to read this, many of which are intuitive, but here are some universally accepted interpretations:

* Bubbles show trapped negativity. If there are a lot, repeat the process

* If the white appears like a cobweb, you may have been cursed. Repeat the process or use some other method to break it

* A white with spikes represents people around you with negative intent, like energy vampires

* Blood in the egg means you have a very heavy negative attachment such as a ghost or demon that needs to be removed

To add some personal insights to this, if the egg white appears to wrap tightly around the yolk, you have been bound. If the egg forms an eye shape, someone is watching you. And if the yolk breaks and spreads, you need healing- someone is draining your vitality.

The Candle Test

You will need a white candle for this.

Take the candle in your hands, and set your intention as above. Roll the candle over your entire body, and then light it and let it burn out. The shape of the wax can reveal much. If you are cursed, images such as claws, skulls, and such will appear in the wax. If these things appear, repeat the process until the wax no longer shows a bad omen.

The Lemon Test

This one is a personal favorite. You will need one fresh lemon and a slow burning black candle.

Dress the candle with an all purpose oil like holy oil, all purpose oil, or five dragons oil. Cut your lemon in half and place one half next to the candle. Write your name in permanent marker on the peel of the other half, and place it on the other side of the candle. Light the candle and let it burn out. When it's done, compare the lemon halves. If the one with your name is significantly more decayed than the other one, then you are cursed. If they halves are similar, then you're good. Either way, rub both halves with salt and throw them away or bury them.

The Match Stick Test

This one only needs a glass of water and two matches.

Hold two matches in your hands, letting them absorb your energy. Then, light them and toss them into the glass of water. When they have settled and are no longer moving, observe their position. If they are not touching, then you are free from negativity. If they touch, then you've got some negativity or a light curse, but it can be handled with a simple cleansing. If the matches cross, then you are under a heavy curse and may need help removing it.

I hope this helps! Happy Testing!

Hello, what do you mean by, "You've been bound?" Spirit keeping comes to mind, but I don't think that's what you're referring to. Looking forward to trying these methods!

It is definitely not the same as spirit keeping lol. In traditional Magick, to be bound is to be tied up, restricted from being able to use Magick, or take certain actions. It is a common form of curse, usually the first one most people try against their enemy in a war.
