Here go again!
Day 14- Binding of Enemies
I don't frequently have to directly attack someone, as generally speaking, if someone comes at me, the spirits I commune with will take care of it without my direct intervention. However, sometimes, it needs to be done. When that happens, I like to start with something like this:
In the center of a black cloth, use red paint to Mark out the seal of mercury. On top of this, place a link to your target, whether this is a picture, piece of hair, etc. on top of that, I'll pour some chili powder, pieces of bramble, tobacco, and grace dirt. Fold the square together to make a small packet and wrap it with a black ribbon. As you do, chant this simple incantation:
"I tie your hands to not walk my way. I tie your hands to not work against me. I tie your tongue to not speak against me. I tie your eyes to not see me."
This is then placed into a jar, which has vinegar poured over until the jar is 2/3 of the way full. The jar is sealed and buried deep in the forest.
Day 15- Elevation of Spirits
This is actually a four day process, and this is not necessarily the exact method I use, but that method is initiatory. This one is more open. This ritual is done when you have a spirit that is working against you, or simply a demon that you want to work with in a more direct way. Either way, you will want a parchment with the name and/or seal of the spirit written on it and a shelf with three levels. On day one, place the seal on the bottom shelf. On top of this, place a glass of water. Make this prayer:
"By the divine grace with which we ensorcel the world, I call upon the power of pure divinity. This being I present to you is unclean and troublesome, and out of compassion, I wish to see it become more than it was. By this pure water I have offered, lay your hands upon them and bestow them with your grace."
And that's it for today. Leave everything as is until tomorrow.
Day 16- Day 2 of Elevating a Spirit
On day 2, we move the seal and glass of water to the second shelf. This day, we also offer incense next to the glass. Then, we make this prayer:
"Oh divine powers of the universe, in your benevolence, you have washed away the filth of this spirit. Now, by this fumigation I offer you, may consecrate them to a higher service and bestow your wisdom upon them."
That's all for day two.
Day 17- Day 3 of Elevating a Spirit
On this day, move the seal and water to the top shelf. Add to the water a few drops of holy oil and then make this prayer:
"All praise to the benevolence of the divine powers who, by your own compassion and grace, have brought this creature out of darkness and into the light. By this holy oil, may this creature be made anew, a fresh light in the world to do the work of the light, and to live as my friend and ally."
That's it for now, one more tomorrow...
Day 18- Final Day of the Elevation of the Spirit
On this last day, sit in meditation with the spirit seal. You have gone through a powerful transformative process to remake this spirit, and now you need a way to call it as your ally. The old seal will call that old version of the spirit, so you are asking the spirit to provide you with a new seal. When that seal comes to you, ask the spirit if it is the seal they want to use. If it is, burn the old seal and scatter the ashes at a crossroads and draw out the new seal. From now on, when you work with this spirit, you'll use this new seal to contact this new and improved spirit.
Day 19- Elemental Protection
This is a simple talisman, but I personally love it. It's easy to make, and easy to remake when you feel that it's run out of juice, so to speak. Step 1 is to build a sacred fire, which is not so difficult as it sounds. The only real rules are that it should contain only wood (no cardboard, paper, or other trash, other than maybe a paper petition for protection to help get it started). Let this fire burn all the way out and cool down, so maybe do this fire on the day before you're going to do this. Then, you'll want to get a small satchel in one of the four elemental colors (but green is the best). Draw the four elemental triangles on both sides. Into this bag, place a piece of burnt wood from the fire, a small feather, a small seashell, and salt. Seal the bag and sit with it in meditation. Visualize the four elements awakening within the bag through the four representations you've added, and then make this incantation:
"By earth, the mother's body,
By water, her blood,
By air, her breath,
By fire, her spirit,
I place myself under the protection of the divine mother. With her power, I am safe from all harm. So let it be."
Sit as long as it takes to feel that powerful invocation stop flowing, then go about your day, carrying the satchel with you.
Day 20- A Prayer for Healing
Prayer is a very powerful form of spellcraft often overlooked by magicians, but it is worth exploring. To that end, I use this prayer to bless a glass of water I drink when I need some healing. Holding my hands over the glass of water, I say this prayer, ideally directly in a day of sunlight:
"Mighty Apollo, Lord of the sun, you who rule the world of medicine, lend me your power. Bestow upon this pure water the power of the medicines I need for my healing. Let it be a vessel to carry your strength into my body, and may I be open to your miraculous power. Not by my strength, but by yours I am made whole."
Then, I drink the water and go about my day. And that's it!
See you for the next one!
