31 Days of Spellcrafting Part 3

Here we go for another round!

Day 8: The Shoe Paper Spell

This one is a classic, but one I enjoy doing from time to time, and one I like to twist every so often. This is a domination spell, and there's no way around it. So here's what we do:

Take a small piece of paper and a black pen or marker. Write the name up the person you want to control three times. Then, place a dot of controlling oil on it. As you rub it in, talk to the paper as though it is your target and tell it exactly what you want it to do. Then slide it into your shoe under the sole. And that's it! Walk on it daily, and it will put them under your foot.

Day 9: Clairvoyance Talisman

I like to keep my senses open, and the best way for me to do that is usually a good talisman. Take a white pouch and draw the seal of the moon on one side and the kamea on the other. Add to this pouch a piece of silver, as well as some star anise, mugwort, wormwood, and Elecampane. Go outside and hold the pouch while you stare at the moon. Feel its energy around you, flowing into your skin and through your eyes. Breathe deeply, and as you do, breathe that lunar energy in until you feel yourself glowing. Then, blow it all out into the talisman. Repeat this process 9 times and carry the pouch daily.

Day 10: Hotfoot Powder

A classic conjure powder for getting rid of people, especially neighbors, this is a powerful and simple formula. Sprinkle it where someone will walk through it to get rid of them (two of my neighbors have a patch of this between their door and their car):

1 cup Graveyard dirt

1 tsp. Each:

Sea salt

Black pepper

Cayenne pepper

Red chili pepper

Sulfur

High John the Conqueror

For added strength, you can do what I like to do: consecrate a seal of Mars on parchment on the day and hour of Mars, burn it to ash, and mix the ash into the powder. You'd be amazed at how much of an added kick this gives.

Day 11: To Draw New Clients

For this sort of thing, I like to build a special vessel. Start with a simple bowl. This can be blue for Jupiter, yellow for Dzamballah, green for classic alignment, or my personal preference, plain white. Holding my bowl, I recite the mantra of Dzamballah 1,008 times: Om Dzambhala Zalendraye Soha. Then, I breathe onto the bowl to pour the mantras into it. Then I will lay a layer of magnetic sand in the bottom, followed by calendula, and then, if I have it on hand, hoodoo money rice. Then I cover this layer with either gold joss Paper if I have it, or hell money if I don't. On top of this, I will place a parchment with a petition describing my needs, and then a lodestone on top of that. Once this is done, I will do 108 Dzamballah mantras daily in front of the bowl, and occasionally pour some iron filings or money oil on the lodestone to feed it.

Day 12: Dream Incubation

A favorite technique of mine, I have been working with various methods of Incubation for years, and over time I have rolled many of them together into a single fluid technique that works really well for me. You should know up front, this isn't a technique for you to say "I want a dream where I will become Goku and defeat the Armies of Sauron" or anything like that. Rather, this is a technique for you to answer questions you need answers to, or resolve situations that are difficult to navigate. In short, this is more of a divinatory technique than programming a subtle journey.

Begin with meditation just before bed. Focus on the issue or question you are trying to overcome or answer. Examine it from all angles, fascinate yourself with it, and let it consume you. Come out of your meditation when you are sufficiently fascinated and immediately write out a brief description of the situation. Place this under your pillow, climb into bed, and visualize a pale blue orb floating above your head. Inside this orb, see your situation playing out and make this brief invocation: "Morpheus, Lord of dreams, as I enter your realm, guide me to the place where I can find the answers I seek, and relay them to my mind in a way that is clear, concise, and accurate." Then, allow yourself to fall asleep. As soon as you awaken, write down everything you remember from your dreams. Examine them when you've had time to wake up and sort out what was a random dream and what is closer to the answer you need. This last part can be a bit of an exercise in trust in your own abilities, but over time, you'll find your accuracy and honesty increase exponentially.

Day 13: A Protection Pact

Spiritual pacts are often made much of, but they can also be very simple. This pact was a culmination of the daily offerings I've been doing since I made my last major offering. I simply approached one of the trees on my property, cleaned up the dead branches from around it, poured out a bowl of water on its roots, and then made a pact with it. Feel free to use this and alter the wording as necessary:

"Mighty Oak King, I give you this gift of cleanliness and sustenance freely as a thanks for your alliance. I also offer this proposition: in exchange for your active protection of this land, I will continue to visit you with sustenance daily. I look forward to our continued alliance."

I followed this up with Divination to confirm that it was accepted, and it was. Dryads tend to be very willingly to work with you as long as you are a good steward of the land.

That's all for this entry. See you in a few days!
